On Thursday, whistleblowers alleged that Joe Biden’s corrupt Department of Justice (DOJ) directly interfered with the ongoing criminal investigation involving Hunter Biden. The recently disclosed testimony by these whistleblowers highlights a pattern of unwarranted delays, lack of transparency, and threats from the Defense Council in an alleged campaign to “delay, divulge, and deny” the investigation.
One notable area of concern revolves around the alleged reluctance of the DOJ to investigate a WhatsApp message discovered in Hunter Biden’s correspondence with Chinese businessman Henry Zhao. In this message, Hunter Biden allegedly makes an explicit threat, stating that Joe Biden, who was purportedly present in the vicinity, would “destroy” Zhao unless prompt payments to the Bidens were arranged.
For example, we obtained a July 30th, 2017, WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to Henry Zhao, where Hunter Biden wrote:
“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
Communications like these made it clear we needed to search the guest house at the Bidens’ Delaware residence where Hunter Biden stayed for a time.
Thursday, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) expressed his concerns, asserting that very few individuals in America would receive similar lenient treatment from federal investigators. He further disclosed that U.S. Attorney David Weiss of Delaware was denied multiple attempts to press charges against Hunter Biden in 2022 and 2023. Quoting whistleblowers, Smith stated that the Department of Justice (DOJ) was “intervening and overstepping” in the investigation, despite clear evidence of tax obligations related to Hunter Biden’s payments.
According to reports, IRS investigators encountered internal obstacles, facing challenges such as a lack of independence for U.S. Attorneys, recurring unwarranted delays, unorthodox actions deviating from standard investigative procedures, a lack of transparency within the investigation and prosecution teams, and instances of intimidation and threats from the Defense Council. These actions constituted a concerted effort to “delay, divulge and deny.”
