FBI Monica de Leon Barba, a resident of the United States, was heading home from work with her dog on November 29, 2022, when she was abducted in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, Mexico. San Francisco has released additional video footage in the case of the kidnapped victim in an effort to help find her.
“The FBI is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Monica and returning her safely to her family. We believe these videos may help generate new public tips to assist in our investigation.” According to the Special Agent in Charge for the FBI, Robert K. Tripp, “We believe these videos may help generate new public tips to assist in our investigation.” The Federal Bureau of Investigation is prepared to provide a reward of up to $40,000 for information that helps locate Monica. If you have any information, please do not hesitate to share it with the authorities.
Two tapes of Monica’s abduction are going to be made public by the FBI.
In the beginning of the first video, Monica is seen walking her dog in the minutes just before she was abducted.
The following automobiles, among others, may be seen in Video 1, which depicts the kidnapping’s commission:
Vehicle 1: Volkswagen Jetta, silver
Vehicle 2: Dodge Charger, gray
Vehicle 3: Chevrolet Suburban, white
In the second video, the kidnappers and their cars can be seen in action during the abduction. After being accosted by a group of potential suspects, Monica was coerced into getting into a gray VW Jetta. Following this, the suspects flee the scene in three separate vehicles, one of which is the Jetta. A scene from the video shows Monica’s dog running free on the street. A member of the family eventually found where she had hidden her puppy and brought it back to her.
According to what can be seen on the video, there were at least five people engaged in the kidnapping:
Suspect 1: Male in dark clothing
Suspect 2: Male in a white shirt and jeans
Suspect 3: Male in dark clothing, in the backseat of a white Suburban
Suspect 4: Male, dark shirt, believed to be the driver of a gray Charger
Suspect 5: (Not shown on video) Presumed driver of the white Suburban
These recordings are being distributed by the FBI in an effort to elicit more information from the general public.
