On Monday, Independent journalist and former congressional candidate Laura Loomer was detained in Illinois after confronting former FBI director James Comey at his book signing event.
Loomer said that she asked Comey “why a criminal is writing crime novels,” which prompted him to leave the stage.
“I was just ILLEGALLY DETAINED by Naperville police in Illinois after I confronted the former, criminal FBI Director James Comey at his book signing for his new crime novel!” Loomer tweeted. “Comey left the stage after I confronted him about why a criminal is writing crime novels. Video coming soon!”
“It’s too bad I was escorted out and illegally detained by the police after asking @Comey my question,” Loomer continued.
“I really wanted to stay for the book signing and get my personalized books signed for my ‘friends husband’ Michael @GenFlynn, as in Michael Flynn and my dear uncle Roger, as in @RogerJStoneJr. Maybe next time!”
Comey has been making media appearances to promote his new book.
In a recent interview with Joe Biden’s former press secretary Jen Psaki on MSNBC, he revealed who he wants to win the 2024 Presidential election.
“It has to be Joe Biden,” Comey said in response to whether he intends to vote for Biden again.
“I’m glad he’s willing to serve,” Comey said. “It has to be somebody committed to the rule of law, committed to the values of this country,” Comey added. “And I’m not talking about policy. People can disagree about policy. There are things above those disagreements that all of us should think about the same way.”
“The president must be someone who abides the law and our Constitution,” he continued. “And there’s no one else but Joe Biden.”
