On Wednesday, Anthony Fauci faced questions from Attorneys General Eric Schmitt (Missouri) and Jeff Landry (Louisiana) in their lawsuit against the federal government for colluding with big tech to suppress information about Hunter Biden’s laptop, Covid-19, and Covid-19 vaccines under the guise of combating what they call “misinformation”.
Schmitt released this statement ahead of Fauci’s deposition:
“Tomorrow, along with my colleague from Louisiana, my Office and I will depose Dr. Anthony Fauci in our lawsuit against the Biden Administration for allegedly colluding with social media companies to censor freedom of speech,” said Attorney General Schmitt. “Since we filed our landmark lawsuit, we have uncovered documents and discovery that show clear coordination between the Biden Administration and social media companies on censoring speech, but we’re not done yet. We plan to get answers on behalf of the American people. Stay tuned.”
“We all deserve to know how involved Dr. Fauci was in the censorship of the American people during the COVID pandemic; tomorrow, I hope to find out. And I will continue fighting for the truth as it relates to Big Government colluding with Big Tech to stifle free speech,” said Attorney General Landry.
Missouri and Louisiana filed this landmark lawsuit in May of 2022 and have since received discovery showing that the federal government and the Biden Administration have worked with social media companies to censor speech on topics like COVID-19 and other issues.
A federal court granted Missouri and Louisiana’s request for depositions of top Biden Administration officials on October 21, 2022.
Additional details from The Defender:
Schmitt and Landry sued President Biden, Fauci and others on May 5. New Civil Liberties Alliance, a nonprofit group representing outspoken critics of COVID-19 vaccines and countermeasures, including Drs. Jayanta Bhattacharya, Martin Kulldorff, Aaron Kheriaty and also Jill Hines, joined the lawsuit in August, as did Jim Hoft, founder and editor-in-chief of The Gateway Pundit.
According to the complaint, government officials colluded with and coerced Big Tech and social media platforms to “suppress disfavored speakers, viewpoints and content” relating to COVID-19.
Several officials named in the suit, including former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, argued they shouldn’t be required to be deposed, but a federal judge on Monday denied a request to quash Psaki’s subpoena.
The same judge, U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty, on Oct. 21 ordered Fauci and other government officials to provide depositions under oath.
Schmitt provided updates on Fauci’s deposition:
Some of Schmitt’s takeaways from Fauci’s deposition include:
- Fauci knew the Lab Leak theory had merit but it’d come back to him & sought to immediately discredit it
- He defended lockdowns
- The rest of us “don’t have the ability” to determine what’s best for ourselves
Investigative journalist and Editor-in-Chief of UncoverDC, Tracy Beanz, discussed the ramifications of the lawsuit against the Biden Administration.
“This is a state suing the federal government,” emphasized Beanz
“It’s not some individual who had their rights infringed upon. It’s a state — two states — and a bunch of other folks. And the people who wrote the Great Barrington declaration, their attorneys are involved in it, too.”

“The Missouri v. Biden case will go down in history as one of the most important civil liberties cases ever tried in a United States court. A ruling was issued today and I would like to explain this to you. The judge in this case just smacked the government down once again.”
