The GOP may face another round of House elections soon.
Marjorie Taylor Greene filed a motion to remove Mike Johnson as House Speaker due to his handling of the House Omnibus bill, which will fund the government until September 30.
Despite over 100 members of his caucus voting against it, the legislation passed by a 286-134 vote, meeting the required 2/3 majority to prevent a government shutdown. Democrats came to Johnson’s aid to ensure the bill’s passage.
