This is a breaking story…please check back for updates.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Craig Robertson, a 75-year-old man from Utah, was shot and killed by FBI agents during a raid. The FBI in Salt Lake City confirmed the incident.
Reports indicate that Robertson had been charged with three counts related to his threats against Joe Biden, including making interstate threats, threats against the president, and influencing, impeding and retaliating against federal law enforcement officers by threat.
Allegedly, Robertson had posted a series of threatening social media messages targeting Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and individuals involved in prosecuting Trump.
Additional information regarding the raid was not disclosed.
ABC News reported:
A Utah man was shot and killed during an FBI raid early Wednesday morning, the FBI confirmed to ABC News. The raid was in connection with an investigation into alleged threats against President Joe Biden and others, according to two officials briefed on the case.
One of the officials told ABC News that the investigation began in April and the U.S. Secret Service was notified by the FBI in June. In addition to threatening posts, the official said, the man under investigation suggested online he was making plans to take physical action. The threats had been deemed “credible,” the official said.
The FBI in Salt Lake City said the shooting occurred around 6:15 am. local time while special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence in Provo.
“The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously,” the FBI said in a statement. “In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”
Making a credible threat against the President of the United States, Vice President, or other government official is not only morally reprehensible but it is also against the law. Anyone making such a threat could be charged with a felony which is punishable by up to 5 years in federal prison and up to a $250,000. fine.
Unfortunately, given the FBI’s reputation for dishonesty and bias, there should be a separate, independent, impartial investigation conducted to verify whether or not the alleged threat was, indeed, credible as the FBI asserts.
Regardless of the credibility of the threat, The FBI’s actions have removed any doubt about their partiality.
Remember when the FBI shot and killed Madonna during a raid of her home after she publicly said that she dreams about blowing up the White House when Trump was the duly elected, sitting president?
Or when this pig was photographed holding what appears to be President Trump’s bloody severed head?
Or when Barbara Streisand shared an image on Twitter of a large high-heeled shoe with the name Pelosi on the side, piercing through the body of a caricature of President Trump? Beneath him, you could see red blood spilling out.
Oh yeah, those incidents never happened. Those people, and many others, are still alive and walking among us today.
