Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas appeared on The View Wednesday, shortly after George Clooney published a harsh editorial for the New York Times urging Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 race. Douglas seemed to concur, stating, “I think it’s a valid point.”
“It’s such a tough one. I adore the guy. Fifty years of public service — a wonderful guy. This just happens to be one of these elections that is just so crucial. And it’s really hard,” Douglas said when asked by co-host Alyssa Farah about the calls for Biden to step aside in the 2024 race.
“I think it’s a valid point,” Douglas continued. “I’m deeply, deeply concerned. It’s especially difficult because the Democrats have a big bench. They have a lot of heavy hitters.”
