The day after Zelenskyy finally calls for peace, Russia bombs Ukraine with a barrage of missiles.
Weird.
At least two Russian missiles flew over NATO territory and killed two people in Poland on Tuesday, a senior U.S. intelligence official told the AP News.
The Polish government has not immediately confirmed the report, but one spokesman, Piotr Muller, told the publication that top leaders were holding an emergency meeting over the “crisis situation.”
The Russian Defense Ministry denied being behind any strikes on targets near the Ukrainian-Polish border.
Do they really expect us not to question this?
On Sunday, Breaking Digest reported that an interview was found in which Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) admitted that FTX was laundering money for the Ukrainian government.
Watch:
SBF was the second largest donor for Democrats this last election cycle, second only to megadonor George Soros. SBF gave at least $38 million to $40 million to Democrats, according to a report from FOX News.
Bankman-Fried floated the idea of spending upwards of $1 billion in the 2024 presidential election if Donald Trump is the Republican nominee.
And then on Monday, just like that, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy finally called for peace with Russia.
President Zelensky: “We are ready for peace, peace for our entire country.”
And on Tuesday, Russia bombs Ukraine with a barrage of missiles and at least two of those missiles crossed into NATO member Poland, killing two people.
Why would Russia bomb Ukraine after Zelenskyy’s call for peace?
More from AP News:
KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy on Tuesday decried an apparent Russian missile strike that hit neighboring NATO member Poland as “a very significant escalation” of the war.
Zelenskyy’s comments, delivered in an evening address to the nation, came hours after a senior U.S. intelligence official told The Associated Press that Russian missiles had crossed into Polish territory and killed two people. If confirmed, the strike would mark the first time in the war that Russian weapons came down on a NATO country.
A second person said that apparent Russian missiles struck a site in Poland about 15 miles from the Ukrainian border.
It was not clear whether Zelenskyy had direct knowledge of the strikes. The U.S. National Security Council said it was checking into the reports. A NATO official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the alliance was also investigating.
Polish government spokesman Piotr Mueller confirmed that an explosion had killed two people and said some military units were put on alert while officials sought details.
Polish media reported that the strike took place in an area where grain was drying in Przewodów, a village near the border with Ukraine.
The Russian Defense Ministry denied being behind “any strikes on targets near the Ukrainian-Polish border” and said in a statement that photos of purported damage “have nothing to do” with Russian weapons.
